We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us throughout this difficult year.
Trading during hard lockdown was both challenging and rewarding. Our staff, led by their managers, were incredible. They humbled us with their dedication and commitment to keeping us afloat. Sadly 66 of our staff lost their jobs when we were forced to downsize. This was heart breaking for everyone at Merrypak. Our suppliers and even our landlord stood by us while we traded our way back to a more stable position.
We South Africans are a resilient lot. It has been inspiring seeing the entrepreneurial spirit of our customers – many of whom have come up with innovative ideas for new ventures or have taken their businesses online. Thanks for your patience while we battled with stock issues and a shortage of raw materials. We know this has been incredibly frustrating.
Our thoughts are with those who have lost their jobs and businesses and especially with those who have lost loved ones to Covid.
We’re especially grateful to each and every one of you. It is you, the customers who keep us in business and help us to pay our staff. Please know that we value every single order and sale.
May you all have a wonderful and safe time with family and friends this festive season and come back refreshed and ready to tackle 2021 head on!
